Meet Alison & Tony
We are Alison and Tony, a couple in our mid 50's, living in Oxfordshire UK with our daughter Ella. Like many of you, we are not fulltime travel writers or digital nomads. We are just average people juggling full time jobs, domestic responsibilities and limited annual leave! Although from time to time, we are lucky to get the odd bit of work travel that extends beyond an airport and a meeting room.
With a genuine love of travel, exploring new places and experiences, whilst making lifetime memories, we sit somewhere in the middle of the travel spectrum, not travelling on a shoestring, but not indulging in 5* luxury at every turn. We have been known to push the boat out, especially where we feel the benefits outweigh the costs. We rarely use travel agents, we tend to plan everything ourselves, balancing costs, comfort and experience. For us it is about finding experiences that feel special, good value for money and making amazing memories.
Because we are time poor, our trips are carefully planned to make the most of every day. We want to see and do a lot, experience new things, but also ensure we come home rested rather than exhausted. Planning is key to success; however, we do sometimes get things wrong.
We wanted create something to help similar minded people, who want honest, practical travel inspiration and ideas for making the most of both their time and budget.
