We're the Allans from Kent!
Becky & Rob; full-time working parents, and Oscar, 9 years old, and always up for an adventure.
We live for our adventures and made it our mission a few years ago to try and visit a new country every year. We've been so lucky to have experienced fresh Pastal De Nata in Porto, the fantastic Haus De Musik in Vienna, wild Coyotes in Yosemite and sipped Aperol on the streets of Palermo, Sicily.
The World is such a vast place, full of amazing culture, colour and flavours – we want to explore as many of them as we can!
Meet Carmen
Hi, I'm a 55 year old traveller from Lancashire, in the UK, with a love of adventure, nature, wildlife and discovering the world beyond the familiar. Over the last year especially, I've embraced solo travel, exploring places that have challenged me, inspired me and introduced me to people and cultures very different from my own. From Japan to volunteering in Colombia, I've found that the most memorable journeys are rarely just about the destination. I'm fascinated by different cultures, indigenous communities and the stories, traditions and ways of life that make each place unique. I love being in the mountains, exploring different environments, getting close to nature and wildlife and sometimes simply seeing where a journey takes me. For me, travel is ultimately about the people and experiences. I want to meet people, listen to their stories, learn from them and wherever possible, contribute something positive to the communities I visit. Volunteering has become an important part of the journey. I'm not interested in simply collecting countries or ticking destinations off a list. I want to travel with curiosity, purpose and an open mind, to experience the real character of a place and hopefully leave something positive behind.
